Hi Ben – I hope all is well with you. I wanted to drop you a line as I watch the US Open Cup semifinals. I personally feel like these should be on tv and I think that USSF/SUM would be wise to make that happen as an investment for the future. This of course is only a hunch. It seems thought that more teams are taking this tournament seriously and probably no coincidence that it is happening in step with teams taking the CONCACAF Champions league more seriously. I think it would be really interesting to know how many people tuned into each of the streams provided by the fire and the sounders. And also how much traffic thecup.us saw this year compared to years past. If I’m not mistaken these games were only available by radio broadcast last year.
